Wildlife Ranger sessions are full of wildlife and conservation-themed activities for children with a love of nature and the outdoors. We aim to include activities such as plant and animal ID, bushcraft, including fire lighting and safety, tool use and light conservation work that contributes to the maintenance of the reserve, practical tasks in the teaching garden and nature-themed craft.
As a Wildlife Rangers Volunteer you will assist Learning Team to deliver Wildlife Clubs for young people aged 8-11yrs & 11-17yrs, and contribute to the Wildlife Clubs programming, resource preparation, development, and evaluation. You would also assist with set up and pack down of sessions on the day, and communicate with BBOWT Staff and parents of young people. You would need to ensure that all health and safety obligations are met in all aspects of the role including safeguarding children and young people, and as well as undertaking training and attend meetings as agreed.
