Case study: Ned's Three Peaks Challenge
Ned took on the Three Peaks Challenge and raised over £430 for BBOWT!
"I thought it would be important to choose a challenge which I would not only enjoy but also do in aid of a charity which meant something to me.”
Between 2016 and 2017 I completed a traineeship at BBOWT and as such I had an understanding of how they worked and where the funds I raised would go. I felt that by doing this I would be able to give back to an organisation that has helped me so much with training and development for the career I wish to go into.”
One of the hardest parts of the whole challenge for me was fundraising. One of the best pieces of advice I could give would be to know beforehand who you’re going to be asking to help you towards your goal. Whether this is friends, family, colleagues or anyone else. Once you know this you can set a realistic goal for yourself.”

How do I explain to people what the Berks, Bucks & Oxon Wildlife Trust does?
The Berks, Bucks and Oxon Wildlife Trust works to give wildlife a helping hand across the three counties. This includes monitoring species and running projects to support declining species such as water voles, and threatened habitats such as chalk grassland.
We look after more than 80 nature reserves spanning more than 2,500 hectares. Our nature reserves are central to our work to secure a better future for wildlife.
To find out more, take a look at our About page.
How will the money I raise be used?
All the money you raise will go towards our vital work throughout our three counties, enabling our conservation, preservation, and education work to continue. The funds you raise will be ‘unrestricted’ which means that you are not restricting what project your donations are spent on, so the money you raise can be put towards important projects that we really need it for.
