About the event

Nature offers us so many amazing materials. We've all enjoyed eating blackberries, but have you ever thought of using the bramble stems to make something useful and beautiful? Join a small group in the meadow for a day of wild weaving. Learn how to select, harvest and prepare the best stems then weave your own unique wild basket to take home. From bush to basket in just a day! You'll also learn lots about other wild weaving materials that can be sustainably foraged locally. This course is suitable for beginners. Please be aware that harvesting brambles involves negotiating uneven ground and prickly, tangled bushes! Hot drinks and a slice of cake included, please bring a packed lunch.

We are committed to keeping our visitors, staff and volunteers safe. Please DO NOT attend if you or your child are unwell, or testing positive for an infectious illness, such as COVID-19. Your consideration is hugely appreciated.

Please note the centre is accessible by public transport with regular buses (including connection to Didcot Parkway railway station) serving Milton Park, a few minutes walk from the centre.
