About the event

Spring on the Greek island of Crete is spectacular. 1600 species of plants have been recorded of which about 160 are endemic. There is also a great variety of birds, both residents and migrants. Ken White will look into the factors contributing to the high level of plant endemism and share photos from two springtime visits to the island, looking at some of the flora and birding highlights. Ken is a well-known local naturalist whose photography is amazing; expect a colourful and insightful talk.
