About the event

Our sessions are designed to be learner-centred, offering children the chance to grow holistically through exploration, play, and supported risk-taking.

During each forest school visit, children will have full autonomy over their activities, with opportunities to learn new skills if they wish. These skills include:
•    Building and lighting a fire sustainably
•    Cooking over a fire
•    Shelter building
•    Using tools to create crafts and items for their activities
•    Learning about the flora and fauna around them
•    Any other activities your child can imagine in a woodland environment.

Come along with your child and discover the endless possibilities that await in the forest!

Tickets are for 6 sessions which are held weekly on Wednesdays from 2nd October-13th November. Please note there will be no session on 6th November.

Forest school is a long-term process with regular sessions which is why we ask that you block book. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact our forest school leader at the Nature Discovery Centre either by email: gracerawlinson@bbowt.org.uk or over the phone on 01635 874381.

This event is designed for children aged 7 and up. If you have younger siblings who are also home educated, why not use this time to enjoy some quality moments together by exploring our site and discovering all it has to offer while their siblings are at forest school.
