About the event

Join a small group on our wonderful nature reserve to learn about the myriad of natural materials we can use to weave useful and beautiful objects. Guided by our expert weaver, Charlotte, you will weave your very own unique platter/bowl using a variety of  previously foraged natural materials including willow, bramble, iris, corn and more. Suitable for beginners. The course will include an optional walk around the reserve during lunch, weather permitting.

How the day is structured -

The morning will involve looking at natural materials and their uses to then create the base by weaving and working these materials.  The afternoon will be learning how to make cordage from other natural materials and then creating enough to weave into your own unique platter.  These skills can then be used to create other objects at home, perhaps foraged from your garden
