About the event

Scots Pine have less dense foliage than the standard Norway Spruce, but they smell great and never drop their needles.

Lowland heath is a rare habitat across Europe, and most of it is in the UK. We are lucky to have good examples in our area including the SPA near Crowthorne. However, too many trees on heathland shades out the essential heather and drains some of the wetland so they need to be removed. We cut and sell some of these unwanted Scots Pine and raise money for reserve management.
The Green Christmas theme is continued with wreaths and stars, holly, ornamental willow, pine cones and other natural decorations for sale, as well as cards, calendars and gifts in the Nature Discovery Centre shop.

The café is open all day (10am – 3.30pm) with winter treats.
