About the event

Dancersend is the largest of the Wildlife Trust sites in Buckinghamshire with a range of habitats and a rich variety of wildlife, including county and regional rarities. It is the oldest of the BBOWT nature reserves and has its origins back at the birth of the nature reserve movement. It has a fascinating history and this talk by Mick Jones, Volunteer Warden of the reserve, will explore how its different phases throw light on the way the idea of nature conservation has developed and changed, finishing with some thoughts about how our reserves can contribute to nature recovery in the wider local landscape.
