About the event

Spring is here and there is a whole rainbow of butterflies waiting to be found on the nature reserve. Fly around with your family discovering fascinating facts to earn your chocolate treat. You can visit the education centre too - enjoy butterfly themed crafts including making a seed lollypop to take home and grow a butterfly friendly garden. Take some time to relax in the wildlife garden or visit our Quiet Space to read a book or play in the sensory tray.

There is lots of outdoor space to play and picnic, bring a packed lunch and make a day of it. Hot drinks and squash available for a small cash donation.

Suitable for families with children aged 4 to 11 years (younger siblings may also attend and do not need a ticket). All children must be accompanied by an adult. The event runs from 10am-2pm, please book your ticket online (places limited) and arrive at a time that suits you within that window, last entry 1pm. Children with a ticket will receive a small chocolate prize - free from alternatives available.

Please note the centre is accessible by public transport with regular buses (including connection to Didcot Parkway railway station) serving Milton Park, a few minutes walk from the centre.

We are committed to keeping our visitors, staff and volunteers safe. Please DO NOT attend if you or your child are unwell, or testing positive for an infectious illness, such as COVID-19. Your consideration is hugely appreciated.
