About the event

Perhaps you have problems telling your great tit from your coal tit. Maybe female chaffinches look a bit like sparrows? We will help you sort out species confusion and sharpen up your bird ID skills in time for the Big Garden Bird Watch.

Starting with a brief session indoors, we will aim to spend most of the session outdoors.

There will be a short walk around the reserve, finishing with a Big Garden Birdwatch style count in one of our bird hides.

We have a few pairs of binoculars to lend, but if you have some please bring them.

Bring a flask or get a hot drink from the café – then we will settle down in the hide to watch.

A great opportunity to develop your skills in time for the Big Garden Bird-watch.

Come along, learn some new skills, meet like-minded people and have some fun in the fresh air.
